Cookies notice
Last updated: 5 May 2026
Egen Games keeps cookie use to a minimum. This page lists every cookie category we set on egengames.com and explains how to control them.
1. What cookies we use
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Egen Games uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential. Authentication, CSRF protection, and the load-balancer hint that keeps your session pinned to the right server. The platform doesn't work without these.
- Preferences. Theme, language, and any opt-in choices you make. Set only after you actively select them.
- Analytics. Not yet active on the marketing site. When we add product analytics, we will document them here and surface a cookie banner before they fire.
2. Third-party cookies
When you reach a payment step, Paystack sets its own cookies to run its hosted checkout. Those cookies are governed by Paystack's privacy policy, not ours.
The marketing site does not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any cross-site advertising tags. We may add a first-party-only analytics tool (PostHog or Plausible) later; if we do, this notice will be updated and a cookie banner will appear before the analytics cookies are set.
3. How to control cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings: most browsers let you block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or clear cookies on exit. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out of dashboard.egengames.com.
For more information, your browser vendor publishes a guide: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera all expose cookie controls under Settings, Privacy.
4. Updates to this notice
We will update this notice when the set of cookies on the marketing site changes. Material updates will be announced in our changelog and on the platform.
